Compact. Flexible. Powerful.
The Rosenbauer CL series includes small fire trucks of up to 13 tons. The body concept of the Compact Line provides a lot of space for crew and equipment thanks to its dimensions and low weight – without having to sacrifice safety and performance. You have maximum flexibility in the design of your driver’s cab.

Impresses with
- Amazingly low body weight
- Large usable space
- Low body, entry and removal heights
- High degree of flexibility for interior design
- Perfectly matched firefighting equipment
Compact and powerful
With the CL series, Rosenbauer has developed a compact, innovative and powerful municipal vehicle. Thanks to the light and space-saving sandwich construction it is possible to produce superstructures from thinner load-carrying shells, without interior profiles or transverse panels. An additional load-carrying subframe is not required either. This results in low overall height and a compact body width. For the crew this means: comfortable entry height and convenient removal without access flaps. This is also a clear advantage in underpasses, low fire stations, entrance doors and in narrow alleys. The minimum body weight is an additional highlight of this body concept and allows for maximum equipment.
Many different versions. Flexible solutions.
The Compact Line series is available as panel van or with a lightweight body. Rosenbauer builds small vehicles of up to a max. of 5.3 tonnes, primarily on the MB Sprinter chassis. The compact and maneuverable panel vans can be individually equipped and allow for maximum usage of space. Vehicles with lightweight bodies are possible on standard vehicle types with various chassis.
CL free space. Lack of space is a thing of the past.
COMFORT – the flexible stowage system
The COMFORT stowage system, Rosenbauer’s own development, is characterized by safe, simple and ergonomic operation as well as extensive parts program. The function of the device fixings, the device manipulation systems and the device carrier is optimally coordinated with the layout of the full height lockets. Thus all of th equipment can be quickly, easily and ergonomically removed.
Crew cabin – Space and convenience in use
Crew cabins from Rosenbauer offer more safety, convenience and space. The whole ergonomic concept optimally supports firefighters in operation: The even cab floor running throughout reduces the risk of stumbling, the even ceiling prevents hitting your head. The interior of the crew cabin is fitted with high-quality synthetic parts and a dirt-repellent synthetic floor. This looks good, is non-slip and means the cab is easy to clean. Illuminated LED handrails on the inside of the roof and 3 lots of handrails near the doors provide additional grip.
Integrated crew cabin
The integrated crew cabin – optionally in a layout for a crew of 1 + 5 or 1 + 8 – offers a lot of space for the crew. All seats are fitted with headrests, tested 3-point seat belts in direction of travel outside and tested 2-point seat belts inside.
Original twin cab
The original twin cab offers space for a crew of 1 + 5. It is fitted with two seats in the center for the water troop, in the direction of travel. This allows optimum communication with the team leader and a clear view forwards of the operational event. Two additional folding seats for the respiratory protection troop are arranged against direction of travel, correspondingly on the outside next to the door.
Inform. Operate. Control.
Vehicles with CL lightweight body are fitted with an operating display or a switch console in the driver’s cabin. Both operating options quickly and comprehensively provide the driver with an overview of the status of the entire vehicle. They inform about tank contents, open equipment compartments and much more. All signal units, lighting systems and extinguishing systems can also be controlled from this unit. It is also possible to connect a rear-view camera and thermal imaging camera.
Superior performance during firefighting
At the heart of every firefighting truck is the firefighting equipment. Especially for small vehicles, Rosenbauer has developed a large selection of extremely powerful firefighting systems, which can be optimally integrated into the light and space-saving superstructures of the CL series.
Competence from a single source
All firefighting-related components are developed, manufactured and optimally integrated into the vehicle body by Rosenbauer. To guarantee an extinguishing system that always functions flawlessly.
Operations in a new light
A majority of fire fighting calls take place in twilight or at night. The Compact Line is fitted with a special lighting concept that produces lighting conditions at a quality never before achieved. It increases the safety and efficiency during the operation. The innovative lighting concept is based on LED technology and brings light where it’s needed. Conditions similar to daylight are created in combination with surrounding- and equipment compartment lighting, as well as light mast.
