The Rescue Tube is designed as a quick deployment rescue aid for rescuing a victim requiring assistance in a pool, lake, river or sea. The rescue tube can be fastened around the victim’s torso, and is particularly effective in large surf, or for unconscious victims, because of its soft exterior.
The Rescue Tube should be stored with buckles unfastened to ensure the rubber does not deteriorate. While stored, the line should not be wrapped around the tube. Before using the rescue tube, the lifeguard should check the line for wear and the clasp for corrosion.
