FA01 Basic First Aid

Target Participant: Anyone

Prerequisites: Nil

Duration: 4 Hours

Participant Numbers: Minimum of 10, Maximum of 12

Certificate: Provided

Location: Your venue or ours.

Validity: 12 months

This course will provide you with entry level skills and knowledge to deal with minor incidents and injuries. The course is designed for you to acquire an understanding of first aid in order to be able to assist friends and family should they sustain minor injuries. Idealy this course is run in conjunction with FA02 Basic CPR.

This course will teach you how to;

Assess first aid scenes
Understand the aims of first aid
Manage an unconscious breathing casualty
Review first aid kits

Recognition and management of:

Choking
Shock
Wounds and bleeding
Fractures and splinting
