Fire can occur just about anywhere and at anytime. To ensure your safety and the safety of those around you, you need to have an understanding of what to do in the event of a fire.

During this two hour courses you will be given an understanding of what fire is and why it behaves the way it does. We will talk about different types of fire and how to safely extinguish them, as well as looking at not only different types of fire extinguishers, but also hose reels fire blankets and other fire protection equipment.

At the end of the course, you should be confident to not only to know what to do in the event of fire, but also to be able to tell your friends and family about fire safety and what they can do to protect themselves. All participants will be issued with a certificate after completing the course.

The course does not contain any practical component, however participants will be given instructions and show how a fire extinguisher operates. This course is best run in conjunction with FS02 BASIC FIRE SAFETY PRACTICAL where you will get the opportunity to handle and operate fire extinguishers with real fire.
