FA05 Workplace First Aid

Target Participant: Basic First Aiders and those required to perform a first aid role in the workplace.

Prerequisites:  Prior first aid course.

Duration: 2 Days

Participant Numbers: Minimum of 10, Maximum of 12

Certificate: Provided

Location:  Your venue or ours.

Validity:  24 months (12 months for CPR component)

 

This course is designed to provide you with well developed skills and knowledge to ensure you know what to do when there is an incident in the workplace, at home or in the community. The awareness of workplace safety is growing rapidly and the only way to ensure your employees have the ability to deal with a workplace accident or injury is to train them.

This course will teach you;

• How to assess first aid scenes including; Unconscious and conscious  casualties
• CPR
• Safety awareness in the workplace
• Health and Hygiene
• Infection Control
• Managing hazards
• Injury prevention.

Recognition and management of:

• Choking
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Common illnesses – fever and diarrhea
• Common injuries
• Burns
• Poisons
• Common bites and stings
